Wheelchair Basketball

Thrills, Skills and Spills ...

Wheelchair Basketball is basketball on wheels! It follows the same rules as able bodied basketball (with the exception that you are only allowed to take two pushes before you must dribble, pass or shoot). In S.A Wheelchair Sports Association runs a local competition held weekly on Tuesday nights for both athletes with a disability and able bodied athletes. The competition is open to beginners through to elite players...all levels are welcome!

The Adelaide Thunder represents S.A. in the National Wheelchair Basketball League and provides a pathway for players to participate in national teams. For more information on Wheelchair Basketball, competitions, training or classification please feel free to contact us!
